(1) Arthur Jones, the original inventor of Nautilus equipment, was the first person to combine the biology and physics of human movement into an effective exercise machine.
(2) In June of 1970, Jones introduced Nautilus exercise to the public. The machine was called the Blue Monster and contained four stations: (left to right) Pullover, Behind-Neck, Rowing, and Pulldown.
(3) Kim Wood, who eventually became the strength coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, trained frequently on the 1971 Leg Extension.
(4) Nautilus-trained Casey Viator, who won the AAU 1971 Mr. America, displayed his muscular arm after an intense workout in 1978.
(5) In 1983, Arthur Jones instructed his wife, Terri, on a selectorized Multi-Biceps machine.
